Richard Hardin has whittled since childhood. He has fond memories of the men in his family always sitting together, telling stories and carving. He found creativity early in life, Richard recalls using whatever he could find, even the cement sidewalk to whittle down popsicle sticks to make small sculptures.
Richard lives in the shadows of the sandstone cliffs of Zion National Park. His one-of-a-kind wood sculptures showcase his craftsmanship, creativity, and imagination. All of Hardin’s work is hand-carved and hand-painted, often coming from a single piece of wood.
